A Month of Content in One Hour: A Step-by-Step Plan
The hardest question for anyone running an account comes every morning: "What do I post today?" The answer isn't more ideas. It's a clear plan you make once a month and then follow. Here is how to plan a full month in about an hour.
1. Pick one goal for the month
Before any post, choose one goal: reach new people, sell a specific product, get more conversation from your current followers, or launch something new. The goal decides the kind of content; selling posts look different from posts that introduce your brand.
2. Choose three or four content pillars
Pillars are the drawers you pull ideas from all month. For a specialty coffee shop:
- Behind the scenes: roasting, preparing orders, the team.
- Coffee know-how: beans, origins and brewing methods.
- Offers: product of the week, an opening offer.
- Community: customer photos, questions and polls.
Spread your posts roughly evenly across the pillars so your account never turns into one ad after another.
3. Set a posting rhythm you can keep
Consistency beats volume. Three posts a week that you keep up are better than seven that stop after two weeks. If you're starting out, choose three or five a week and add more once preparing them becomes a habit.
4. Put the posts on a calendar
Open the month and give each post a day and a time. Watch for seasons and occasions: paydays, the weekend (Friday and Saturday in Saudi Arabia), national days and sale days such as White Friday. In Ramadan, activity moves to after iftar and late into the night.
5. Mix the formats
Don't make the whole month still images. Mix reels, carousels, stories and single posts. One idea can work in several formats: a tip as a carousel, then its summary as a short reel.
6. Write captions and hashtags in one sitting
Writing in a batch is far faster than writing each post on its day. For every post: a first line that grabs attention, one idea, and a clear ask at the end, such as a question, "save this post" or "order from the link in bio". Add three to five hashtags close to the post's topic.
7. Prepare designs and videos ahead
Set one session for design and one for filming. Preparing ahead saves you from rushed posts on busy days and keeps your feed consistent.
8. Review every week and adjust
At the end of each week, open your insights: which post reached the most people, and which one got comments or saves? Repeat what worked and change what didn't in the weeks that follow.
